DESIGN PROCESS

  • To get started, a 50% deposit is required to reserve your spot on my schedule and begin the sketching process. The remaining 50% will be due once the project is completed and approved.

For your convenience, payments can be made by check, credit card, or PayPal. I’ll include a payment link in both the deposit and final invoices to make things as easy as possible!

  • We’ll put together a collection of visuals—like colors, typography, photography, and patterns—to establish the overall aesthetic for the design. This step ensures we’re aligned on the creative direction and helps me understand your goals before diving into the artwork itself. It’s all about making sure we’re on the same page and creating something that feels just right for you!

  • The design process will follow a few key stages, tailored to the style you’ve requested. At the end of each stage, you’ll have the chance to review and approve the work before we move forward.

    Stage 1: Rough Concept Sketches
We’ll start with loose, exploratory sketches to capture the overall direction and feel of the design.

    Stage 2: Refined Digital Pencils
Once the concept is approved, I’ll refine the details, creating a more polished version for you to review.

Stage 3: Finished Inks & Coloring
Finally, we’ll bring the design to life with clean linework and vibrant colors, making it truly shine!

  • You’ll have plenty of opportunities to shape the design to your liking! At each stage of the process, you can request up to three sets of revisions. A “set” simply means a group of changes you’d like to see, and we’ll work together to make sure everything feels just right.

If you decide to revisit elements that were already approved, or if you need extra revisions beyond the included sets, no worries—additional changes can be made at an hourly rate of $100. I’ll always let you know ahead of time if this applies, though this is quite rare—most projects are completed within the included revisions.

The goal is to make sure you feel confident and thrilled with the final design, every step of the way!

  • Once final payment has been sent, you will receive the final artwork in all the file formats required, and at various sizes when applicable. The file will be set up with the specific production process in mind and on any templates required.

  • That's fine. You can pause your subscription when finished and return when you have additional design needs. There's no need to let the remainder of your subscription go to waste.

  • You may request a refund before you receive your rough sketches. After that if you decide to cancel the project, your deposit becomes a “KILL FEE” and the project will be cancelled and you will not be required to pay the remaining balance.

  • Absorb81 does not employ other designers, or outsource work to any other entity. You'll work directly with me through the entirety of your experience.
